《超级房车赛：起点2》是一款EGO引擎开发的赛车竞速类游戏。该系列一直以高度的写实操作与精准的物理模拟，以及车体、赛道的自由DIY而备受赛车玩家们的青睐与追捧。而本作所收纳的赛事横跨欧、美、亚三个大陆，从巴黎到阿布扎比，从迈阿密到加州海岸，玩家将尽享授权知名赛道以及游走于操控极限的山路驾驶体验。

游戏引入一个叫“TrueFeel”的概念，它专注于提供不受辅助设备干扰的纯粹驾驶体验——一个新设计的物理引擎每秒运算1000次，在悉心过滤某些大扰动的同时又勾兑了一份有预兆的，渐进式的，可控的漂移感受。另外本作不支持车内视角。
